I went into medicine because I wanted to help people navigate their health care journey. Treatment plans and health care in general can be overwhelming, so educating and empowering patients interested me. I chose gynecologic oncology largely because of its longitudinal nature. I follow patients from diagnosis to surgery, chemo, remission and then surveillance onwards. Developing those relationships is important to me. I'm most passionate about empowering my patients to make the health care choices best for them and collaborating with them to help them realize those choices. I want patients to know that there's a whole team of compassionate, enthusiastic providers there to support them through every step.
