Jay R. Gavvala, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained clinical neurophysiologist treating drug-resistant epilepsy, stereo-electroencephalography, critical care EEG, neuromodulation in epilepsy, and magnetoencephalography. He’s an associate professor of neurology at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston and a member of the Texas Comprehensive Epilepsy Program. He also serves as director of the Adult Magnetoencephalography Laboratory at Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center. Gavvala received his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. He completed his neurology residency and fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
