Modupe Idowu, MD, is a board-certified physician and fellowship-trained hematologist. She’s the medical director of UT Physicians Comprehensive Adult Sickle Cell Center. She treats adults with bone marrow and blood disorders like sickle cell anemia. Her practice philosophy centers on treating each patient with respect and care at all times. In practice since 2005, patients appreciate the dedicated, personalized, and evidence-based care they receive and feel welcomed and cared for. Idowu is also a professor in the Department of Internal Medicine at McGovern Medical School at UTHealth Houston. She has repeatedly earned the Dean’s Teaching Excellence Award and was selected for the Texas Super Doctors – Rising Stars award from 2017 to 2019. Idowu, who resides in Pearland, is married and the mother of three children. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and church activities.
