I work closely with our Novant Health multidisciplinary breast team, including radiation oncology, medical oncology, plastic surgery, breast radiology, pathology, physical therapy, genetic counselors and nurse navigators, to provide a personalized approach to each breast cancer patient. I aim to provide high quality, evidence-based breast cancer care using the most up-to-date surgical techniques. I hope to make patients feel that they received the time, care, and attention they deserve.
While I am passionate about my work, I also believe that balance is important. When I am not with patients, I enjoy spending time with family, hiking with my very energetic dog, nearly any other outdoor activity, exploring new restaurants and traveling.
Kristina Shaffer
I am a board-certified and fellowship-trained breast surgical oncologist, with expertise in treating a wide variety of breast conditions ranging from benign breast disease to breast cancer. I am also an active member of the American Society of Breast Surgeons, the Society of Surgical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons.
