I treat every patient as if they were my own family member. I call it my "Golden Practitioner Rule." I always strive to go above and beyond as I would expect for my own care or my family members' care.
I'm a small-town girl from China Grove, North Carolina. God and family are the most important things in my life. I am married to a Coast Guard veteran now diesel mechanic. I have a son who loves to play video games and a daughter who's a competitive barrel racer and pole bender in rodeo competitions.
When not at work, you can most likely find me at a rodeo, playing video games or building Legos with my son, working on our farm or riding horses. We have three horses, two dogs, a cat and a donkey. And yet, I'm always looking for the next animal to bring home.
Our family loves to travel, especially to Topsail Beach, where we fish, boat and enjoy all the outdoor activities as well as trying new restaurants. The beach is my favorite, but I love a good day at an amusement park riding rollercoasters with my family.

From the time I was a little girl, I always knew I would work in medicine. I started helping my grandparents with their insulin shots and checking their blood sugar levels at the age of 8 years old. As I got older, I helped coordinate their doctor visits and helped guide them through hospitalizations. I continued to help with the management of their chronic conditions and after they passed, went on to do the same for my mother. You can say taking care of people has always been a passion for me.
