Dr Joy Wu is Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Vice Chair of Basic Science in the Department of Medicine at Stanford. She is a board-certified endocrinologist who specializes in treating osteoporosis and other bone and mineral diseases. She has a special interest in optimizing skeletal health for those at risk of bone loss from glucocorticoid treatment, cancer therapies, or organ transplant. She has served on expert panels and guideline committees for the American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the Endocrine Society. Dr. Wu also directs a basic and translational research program that focuses on skeletal development and the bone marrow hematopoietic niche.
