Outside of her professional life, Kristy enjoys expressing her creative side, painting with oils and acrylics on canvas. She and her husband make their home in Lead, where they enjoy the beauty of the Black Hills. During the summer months, they love fishing on their pontoon boat and camping in the forest, immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the area.

Kristy earned a master's degree from Post University in Waterbury, Conn. as a nurse practitioner, and her nursing degree from the University of South Dakota.
