Dr Featherston is a native North Carolinian. He graduated from Duke University with honors with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and then from Duke University School of Medicine with a Doctor of Medicine. He then completed a residency in Family Medicine and practiced urgent care and family medicine for 10 years. Dr Featherston completed a training fellowship in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine in 2001 and began to exclusively care for patients with these conditions. He became a regional director and training physician with a national venous disease practice, before joining Carolina Vein Specialists in 2007.Dr Featherston is married to Joy Matthews Featherston, and they have one daughter.
