Dr Lewis received his undergraduate degree with honors in Biology and a minor in Business from the University of Texas at Austin. Following college, Dr Lewis attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, graduating magna cum laude. He then completed his Anesthesia residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he was chosen by his peers to serve as chief resident during his final year of training. Dr Lewis decided to specialize further by completing a Pain Management fellowship at the world renown MD Anderson Cancer Center where he received training in comprehensive pain management with an emphasis on cancer associated pain.
