Having worked in mental health my entire adult life, I have learned the importance of truly listening to what a patient is trying to tell me. Once I objectify a patient's symptoms and begin to understand the source of their pain, it becomes easier to engage in meaningful discussions and craft a collaborative plan that is sustainable. If medications are necessary, I make that decision with the patient and attempt to use only what is necessary. The cure to almost any psychiatric issue is developing healthy coping mechanisms. I will act as a guide to help you make informed decisions and to reclaim control of your mental health.
