He earned a Ph.D. in cell, molecular and developmental biology at the University of California Riverside, and went on to study medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California. He continued his residency and fellowship training at Loma Linda University Medical Center, with additional fellowship training at City of Hope in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy. Dr Shouse focuses his research on eliminating the barriers of lymphoma cure.
