She attended medical school at Novosibirsk State Medical University in Novosibirsk, Russia and earned her medical degree from Kansas City University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. She then completed her internship and residency at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Indiana.
