Dr. Njeri Maina is a Board Certified Allergist & Immunologist who completed her Allergy and Immunology fellowship at the University of Alabama in Birmingham and her residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville. She received her medical degree, along with her Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology, from Indiana University School of Medicine. Her international experience includes medicine rotations at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation in Guyana, San Vito in Costa Rica, and Moi University Teaching and Referral Hospital in Kenya. Dr. Maina’s years of experience, in the U.S and abroad, has given her a unique perspective on the needs of the patients she treats. She finds educating her patients on their diagnosis, providing information on their condition, and detailing the treatment options, to be extremely important in providing excellent care to the patient as well as those participating in their care.
