Dr. Hamaker completed his training, including medical school, residency and fellowship, at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following fellowship training, Dr. Hamaker accepted a position as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics with the University of Utah School of Medicine. He is board certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Endocrinology. Dr. Hamaker’s early research experiences in residency and fellowship included pediatric type 2 diabetes and the metabolic syndrome.
