He also enjoys seeing the positive results of using new arthroscopic techniques for shoulder surgery and performing total knee and hip replacements for patients with arthritis who are not responding to more conservative treatment. In his free time he remains active running, hiking, mountain biking, golfing and traveling with his family. When weather precludes being outside, he enjoys reading and exploring the canvas with oil paints.
