He received his Doctor of Medicine from Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at New York Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, where he also completed his fellowship in gastroenterology/hepatology.
