Dr. Deshpande spent three years practicing medicine, working as an Internist in India. Given his desire to become a General Surgeon, Dr. Deshpande relocated to Sunderland, England. While living in England, Dr. Deshpande worked and trained at the Sunderland Orthopedic & Accident Hospital, and later practiced at the Royal Hospital of Sunderland located in the UK.
