Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I have always been fascinated by medicine and it's ability to change lives for the better. I first became a nurse to teach patients about how to improve their health. Becoming a nurse practitioner has allowed me to both practice medicine and to educate the community in which I live. What I want my patients to know about me: I am passionate about helping patients understand their health. Knowledge truly is empowering. Having an understanding of what impacts certain disease states and making changes can truly change overall health and outcomes. What I do when I'm not seeing patients: I am a mother to four amazing kids and I enjoy spending time with them and the rest of our family.
