Dr Carey Ertz? interest in medicine began when she was very young. As a little girl, her family would tell her stories of an uncle who sustained life-threatening injuries from a fire. Through meticulous care by dedicated medical professionals at a burn center, Dr Ertz? uncle survived. This story set off Dr Ertz? desire to help people. Armed with encouragement from family and teachers, she planned on one day pursuing the field of medicine. Dr Ertz went on to attend medical school at Des Moines University? College of Osteopathic Medicine. She later completed her residency training at the Lincoln Medical Education Partnership. Today, she is a family medicine doctor at Methodist Physician? Clinic.
