His research interests include development of novel therapeutics, particularly immune-based therapies, in genitourinary malignancies, and precision oncology in prostate cancer. Dr. Patel has numerous first-author publications in peer-reviewed journals such as CA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, Annals of Oncology, Nature Reviews Urology, and European Urology.
