Katherine Dontje, PHD, FNP-BC, FAANP
Dr Dontje is Associate Professor at the Michigan State University (MSU) College of Nursing (CON) and a Family Nurse Practitioner at the MSU Family Medicine Clinic. She has been a nurse practitioner for over 30 years. During this time, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings at MSU including women’s health, Olin Health Center, VA Community Based Outpatient Center and for the last 15 years in the Family Medicine Clinic. She strongly believes in the shared decision-making process and sees patients from infancy to end of life. Dr Dontje is also an experienced educator working with nurse practitioner students in the College of Nursing. Her research interest has been on patient engagement, advocacy, and shared decision making.
