Emily Nguyen, MD

Emily Nguyen grew up in New Jersey and completed her undergraduate training at Brown University and medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. From there she completed her pediatric residency at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, DC and is board certified in general pediatrics. She joined the Carilion Clinic faculty in 2019 as a pediatric hospitalist and is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine. Dr Nguyen is committed to medical student and resident education and mentorship and is the Acting Internship Director and Medical Student Pediatrics Specialty Advisor. Dr Nguyen enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
