Gladys P Velarde, MD, FACC, FAHA, is a University of Florida professor of medicine and a board-certified cardiologist at UF Health Jacksonville, where she also serves as the medical director of the UF Health Women's Cardiovascular Program. Dr Velarde earned both her bachelor's and medical degrees from New York University.
