James Helfrich
James Scott Helfrich, CRNP, graduated from Duquesne University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He worked as a registered nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at Allegheny General Hospital for six years. While pursuing his Master of Science in Nursing at Duquesne University, which he completed in 2022, he also taught Duquesne undergraduate nursing students. His clinical interests include atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, hypertension, and congestive heart failure. He has been working with the Cardiovascular Institute at Peters Health + Wellness Pavilion and Canonsburg Hospital since August 2022. He is board-certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and sees patients ages 18 years and older.
