Linda Peterson

I am not the type of person who knew as a child that I was interested in being a physician. Instead, I took a longer road and looked at many fields. I was initially going to go and get my PhD and become a psychologist, but once I started working as a certified nursing assistant for a group of doctors, I then knew that I loved what they did! Figuring out what the medical problem was and how to treat the problem was fascinating to me! I enjoy the long-term relationships I form with my patients, and I am honored to provide my patients with compassionate and competent care. Since I am a mother of six children, I can relate to those who also have children or grandchildren. I want to partner with women so that they feel comfortable with their bodies and give them practical choices that suit their needs. My areas of special interest include treatment of menstrual issues (both surgical and nonsurgical), women’s mental health, women’s preventive healthcare and, of course, pregnancy! Outside of work, I’m actively involved in a women’s bible study. I enjoy serving in Christian ministries and currently have a focus on early pregnancy and pregnancy planning. I have SIX children and am very involved in their lives! I also take care of my 95-year-old father who lives with us. I enjoy spending time with my husband of 26 years, Steve, who is a Sports Medicine physician.
