Practicing since 2006 as a board-certified radiologist, Dr. Appleton has special interests in breast cancer screening/diagnosis and image-guided interventional breast procedures/biopsies. Dr. Appleton’s career has included a faculty role as associate professor of radiology and chief of breast imaging at Wash U School of Medicine and Siteman Cancer Center. She has published more than 25 peer-reviewed articles, a breast imaging book, and is a contributing author in “A Women’s Decision,” a guidebook for patients facing breast cancer.

Kate Appleton, MD, is a fellowship-trained breast radiologist. She completed a seven-year combined BS/MD program at the University of Florida where she earned her medical degree with research honors.
