The heart has always intrigued me. I still remember peering through a microscope in middle school to see a single cardiac cell beat on its own. There’s so much going on structurally, vascularly and electrically. The heart is fascinating! I became a physician assistant because it merged that love of health science with my genuine interest in helping people.
