Christopher E Bayne, MD, grew up in Northern Virginia and earned a B.S. in Psychology and B.A. in English from Virginia Tech. He earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School and completed a urology residency at The George Washington University. Dr Bayne then completed a two-year pediatric urology fellowship at Children's National Hospital. He spent five years as an Assistant Professor at the University of Florida, advancing robotic urology and medical education. In 2023, he returned to Southwest Virginia to launch the region's first pediatric urology program and academic urology residency. He is now the chief of urology at Carilion and an Assistant Professor at VTCSOM.
