Chasity Newkirk
I’ve always been passionate about improving health and wellness, whether it was my family and friends or people I barely knew. During my career as a community health educator, I met and worked with a few registered dietitians, saw the need for more registered dietitians, and loved everything about the profession. I knew I needed to become a registered dietitian in order to be the most effective and impactful health professional. Becoming a registered dietitian also gave me so much more nutritional knowledge that I want to share with as many people as I can. My philosophy of care is to make it count, no matter how big or small it may seem to you. My approach to patient care is to start small and focus on progress not perfection. My areas of special interest include chronic disease prevention and management, weight management, and sports nutrition. Outside of work, I love to watch cooking shows (but I’m not that in love with actually cooking much), exercising, and traveling (near and far).
