Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: My career in medicine started with my love of emergency nursing. The fundamentals of my practice are grounded in the patience, quality, empathy, and understanding required of a nurse. I chose to advance my career by becoming a family nurse practitioner because I enjoy caring for the entire lifespan, which allows the opportunity to care for patients long-term, thus building lasting and trusting relationships.
