Dr Steven Plato (he/him) graduated from Michigan State University's College of Human Medicine and worked his way west, eventually taking on a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at Loma Linda University Medical Center. There, he met his wife and they relocated to Miami, Florida so she could complete her own fellowship. He continued practicing cardiothoracic surgery, later relocating to Denver, Colorado, then finding his way to Salem Health. As a cardiac surgeon he has diverse clinical interests, including aortic surgery, aortic and mitrial valve surgery, and coronary revacularization. Together with his wife, they have an amazing daughter and two adorable Shiba Inu dogs.
