I had an appointment November 4 after waiting 4 months to see Dr. Hess. I explained an usual situation I'm medically experiencing which my neurologist recommended I see an endocrinologist for some answers. Dr. Hess ran multiple blood tests. He mentioned that if there are no answers there, we would search other avenues for answers. At this point I was excited. Unfortunately, I never heard back from him. I called and spoke with his assistant, she confirmed that my blood work was in and would have the doctor call me back. He had his assistant call me back, and she ( not her fault) had no idea what she was reading. I explained to her that I wanted to speak to him and if she could send me a copy of my blood work because he never released it to my portal. I gave the other doctors caring for me, a copy of my blood work and they were appalled that he never called me back. I already received the invoice from my insurance company. He charged almost $700 for that appointment and all I got was a script for vitamin d that he recommended the day of the appointment based on my previous blood work. I can't believe I left the Northwell system. It's Northwell health for me, this never happens to me there.
