A South Carolina native, Dr. Griggs began his career as a paramedic, gaining hands-on experience that shaped his relationship-driven approach to medicine. He earned his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where he served as Senior Class President, and completed his residency in Family Medicine at Prisma Health/Palmetto Richland Memorial Hospital, serving as Chief Resident and receiving the Resident of the Year award from the South Carolina Medical Association.
Dr. Griggs is procedure-oriented, offering minor surgical, aesthetic, women's health procedures, vasectomies, and other minimally invasive interventions, all performed with precision, safety, and patient comfort in mind.
Dedicated to treating each patient as a whole person, he integrates medical, psychological, and wellness considerations into every treatment plan. He also mentors medical and nursing students, empowering patients to take charge of their health and longevity.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Griggs is a licensed pilot and lifelong aviation enthusiast. He and his wife, Johanna, are proud parents of three children and enjoy time with their Springerdoodle, Rosie.
