John Irish
Originally an Illinois native, Dr. John Irish went to Augustana College in Rock Island for undergrad and attended Rush Medical College in Chicago, where he graduated with dual degrees in 2013. He completed his radiology residency at the University of Missouri. After residency, he attended interventional radiology fellowship at Indiana University. Dr. Irish joined Springfield Clinic in May 2021 and is board certified in Interventional Radiology. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, the American College of Radiology and the American Medical Association. After completing training, Dr. Irish moved back to central Illinois to be closer to family. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his children, working on old motorcycles and helping at his family farm. His top areas of focus include treatment of liver cancer, portal hypertension, cirrhosis, fibroid/prostate embolization, treatment of venous disease and dialysis interventions.
