I have always wanted to work in healthcare and practiced as a nurse for nine years before becoming a Nurse Practitioner. I enjoy helping people and educating them about their health. Being a provider, I am able to play a larger role in the healthcare team. Being a healthcare provider is about having a partnership with the patient, helping them meet individual goals and helping them obtain the knowledge and resources to do so. My areas of special interest include women's health and preventive health and wellness. Outside of work, I like spending time with friends and family, hanging out with my two dogs, and usually about twice a year, someone talks me into running a half marathon.
