My initial interest was in pediatrics. I never lost that interest, even after choosing a career in dermatology, and ultimately, I blended the two specialties and became a pediatric dermatologist. I do treat adults, but I really have a special interest in children. It's important to get to know my patients, to understand who they are, what they're going through in their lives, to better understand their health and develop a treatment that will work for them as an individual.
