As a medical student, Dr. Evans initially thought he might go into orthopedics as a specialty. But, thanks to his mentors and teachers in Peoria, he instead found a passion for plastic surgery and the way it could change patients' lives. He was particularly interested in hand and upper extremity surgery, so he completed an additional fellowship after residency."My favorite part of practicing medicine is having patients come in with an issue and helping them restore function and get back to work.
