Before joining Summit Health, Mr. Nachef worked in a primary care setting in Essex County caring for a variety of patients with both chronic and acute conditions. In addition to his PA degree in medicine, he holds another advanced degree in molecular biology and uses his diverse training to help promote the health goals of his patients. This diversified background inspires him to research the most practical options for each individual and to think outside of the box when considering solutions and potential treatments. Mr. Nachef is also motivated to spend time educating his patients during visits to empower them to make the best possible medical decisions.
He is also a member of several professional organizations including the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the New Jersey State Society of Physician Assistants.
When he’s not practicing, Mr. Nachef enjoys promoting the PA profession and the sciences by teaching at local universities and mentoring future PA’s. He enjoys cooking, cycling, working out, traveling, listening to podcasts, and spending quality time with his family.

Joseph Nachef, PA-C is a member of Summit Health’s Urgent Care team.
