Upon finishing a six-year combined MD program at the University of Western Australia Medical School, Dr. Sandy Milgraum completed an internship at Royal Perth Hospital. In 1980 he moved to the US where he served as a pediatric resident at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in New Hyde Park, New York. From there, he completed a pediatric residency at Children's Hospital of Buffalo and an internal medicine residency at SUNY Buffalo. From 1983 to 1986, Dr. Sandy Milgraum was a dermatology resident at the University of Michigan Medical School.
Dr. Milgraum launched a private dermatology practice in East Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1987, and has treated patients for medical and cosmetic skin problems ever since. He is versed in the use of lasers to treat various conditions and, to that end, utilizes a tissue transplant procedure known as MKT to treat vitiligo. Moreover, he uses a combination of lasers, including pulsed dye and thulium lasers, to reduce or eliminate scars.
In addition to treating patients at his private practice, Dr. Sandy Milgraum has been an active staff member at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital since 1986.
