He received his medical degree from Michigan State University. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Michigan State University McLaren. He served as chief resident of orthopedic surgery during his training.
Dr. Ryan Siwiec treats pain and injuries of the shoulder, knee, ankle, hip, and elbow. His expertise includes shoulder arthroscopy and knee arthroscopy, ligament reconstruction, meniscus, tendon, and labrum repair, and total shoulder and total knee replacement. He currently treats athletes at the high school, collegiate, Olympic and professional levels of sport.

Locally, he is an active volunteer with Michigan Adaptive Sports, a chapter of Disabled Sports USA, teaching downhill skiing to persons with disabilities.
