Frustrating & Disappointing Experience!

I had an incredibly disappointing experience with Dr. Abdul Chafic's GI practice, and I feel compelled to share my frustration through this Google review. My son underwent a GI procedure performed by Dr. Chafic in early July, and afterward, he was prescribed a medication. However, the doctor's office failed to process the required medication approvals in a timely manner, leaving us without the necessary medication for six days.

Despite repeated attempts to get the required approvals sent to the pharmacy for insurance processing, the doctor's office showed a lack of urgency and competence in handling this matter. Consequently, we had no choice but to purchase the medication without insurance rebates, incurring additional financial burden.

To add insult to injury, after the biopsy results from the procedure came back, no one from the doctor's office bothered to call and discuss the results with us. When we finally reached out, they nonchalantly explained that they don't call patients unless there is a concern, putting the burden on us to follow up.

The office staff displayed a dismissive attitude, showing little concern for our worries and only seemed interested in scheduling another appointment. They even suggested transferring our records to another practice if we were dissatisfied.

This whole experience was distressing, causing unnecessary anxiety for our entire family. Based on our ordeal, I strongly advise everyone to avoid Dr. Abdul Chafic's GI practice if possible. The lack of professionalism, disregard for patient well-being, and inefficiency in handling essential medication approvals are unacceptable.
