Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: My path to medicine started as it does for many in the field, with a love of the sciences and a desire to use that to help those around me. This was bolstered through my training with the discovery that I enjoyed working with children and with parents as well, which is what ultimately led me to pediatrics. It is a very rewarding career and one that I am grateful to have. What I want my patients to know about me: I am originally from a rural area in western Pennsylvania (so I won't mention any sports teams here), but have lived in the East for several years now. More seriously, I want to make sure that the children I see are firstly safe and then as healthy/happy as possible.
