About
Dr. Aguilar received his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. He completed his residency in New Hampshire at the NH Dartmouth Family Medicine Residency program and followed that with a fellowship in Sports Medicine at Boston University Medical Center.
What Dr. Aguilar enjoys most is building relationships with his patients and empowering them to take hold of their own health. He helps them recognize that they are the captain of their own well-being and it is his job as their physician to act as the navigator. He makes recommendations, walks his patients through their health issues and guides them toward healthy lifestyle habits.
When not in the office, Dr. Aguilar enjoys spending time with his family, taking local community college courses, and engaging in sports such as swimming, biking and scuba diving. He continues his strong belief in giving back by volunteering at his local community church and, from time to time, leading international medical mission teams. He has also served in different farm worker clinics in California’s Central Valley.

Growing up in Whittier, CA, Arturo Aguilar, MD, developed an early appreciation for his local community. Knowing it had played a key role during his own youth and upbringing helped influence his decision to become a doctor. Because he wanted to give back, Dr. Aguilar chose to go into Family Medicine to help a wide variety of individuals, from babies to the elderly. Additionally, his strong interest in athletics motivated him to also study Sports Medicine.
