About

Aris Tsiakos

Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Gastroenterology is a very broad field that stretches the 30 feet (from mouth to anus) of the GI system, along with the liver, gallbladder and pancreas. This variety is what drew me to a career in GI. I can have 10 patients in a day that each have a different GI issue, and this makes Gastroenterology challenging and exciting. There is always something new to learn and offer patients.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

I practice General Gastroenterology and diagnosis and treating GERD, celiac Sprue, gallbladder issues, inflammatory bowel disease (Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis), various liver diseases and IBS. I perform Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP and Pill Capsule Studies.
