Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?
I specialize in Gastroenterology because of the privilege to care for patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions. I value the opportunity of achieving a focused diagnosis, and then coordinating comprehensive, less invasive treatments with a combination of advanced endoscopic procedures and evidence-based medicine for my patients.
Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?
Barrett’s esophagus and Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Screening and surveillance of gastrointestinal cancer, Hemorrhoid banding, Management of pancreatic and biliary diseases, Also Advanced endoscopy including: Diagnostic and therapeutic Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS), Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), Balloon assisted small bowel enteroscopy. Also, endoscopic management of Obesity: Orbera/Obalon balloon, correction of fistula, remodeling of anastomosis.

I enjoy spending time with my wife and our three daughters at the parks, swimming, hiking, or just relaxing with a good book.
