Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

Understanding the physiology of gastrointestinal tract appeals to me as I believe in enjoying a healthy meal for healthy living. Disorders of upper and lower GI tract, influenced by functions of gall bladder, liver and pancreas offer unique challenges while they might present similarly. Each patient’s needs &responses to treatment are unique and I enjoy investigating these while making them feel better. Prevention of GI cancers has been better than ever and I love to make that possible. I also enjoy treating reflux and ulcer disorders, colon cancer prevention, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD),irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), colon cancer screening and prevention.
