Matthew Swanic M.D. is a native to the Las Vegas Valley. He graduated with honors from the University of Nevada Las Vegas with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. His accolades did not go unnoticed and this allowed him to pursue his residency training in Ophthalmology at the prestigious Tufts Medical Center in Boston Massachusetts. Knowing that he wanted to return to the West Coast, he then completed his fellowship in Cornea, Refractive Surgery, and Uveitis at the world renowned Jules Stein Eye Institute at UCLA. It should come as no surprise that Dr. Swanic is Board Certified in Ophthalmology and actually scored in the 99th percentile on his written boards placing him in the top 1 percent of ophthalmologists in the country.
