Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: I decided to pursue a career in medicine to help others. I wanted to help others attain a higher level of health and wellness by providing information on prevention and education. My goal is to model those behaviors and to share how to enjoy improved health everyday. What I want my patients to know about me: I started teaching exercise classes in 1981 to earn money to go to nursing school. I have been a certified yoga instructor since 1985 and a certified Pilates instructor since 2000. I recently became certified as a health coach with the National Society of Health Coaches.
