Treating specific conditions (such as diabetes, sinus infections, and high blood pressure) are no doubt important and gratifying. But even more gratifying is getting to know people as well as you do in our line of work. Many of patient are not looking for diseases to be cured. They are looking for a caring voice, for a receptive pair of ears to listen to them, for a trusted friend to not only coordinate their care but to provide emotional support.
