"Quality cardiac care begins with listening to the patient. Many diagnoses can be made by taking a careful history and through thoughtful listening. Such discussions are crucial to quality care. It is important that the patient have a firm understanding of their cardiac condition and participate in outlining their diagnostic and subsequent treatment plan.
I strive to service the interests of my patients above all else--while maintaining the values of professionalism including integrity, service, compassion and respect--to keep the interests of my patient at the forefront.
Prevention of cardiac disease also plays a vital role in my 25+ years of cardiac patient service. Our discussions involve risk factor modification and lifestyle changes to improve outcomes and quality of life. Patients often visit me or are referred for multiple physical complaints including Chest Pain, Shortness of Breath, Heart Palpitations, and Lightheadedness/Syncope (loss of consciousness) and prior history of Coronary Disease and Stroke. The patient and I work closely with their primary care provider to evaluate and treat the underlying condition(s) using the best evidence-based medicine protocols available and using the latest advancements in the field."
